- Belongs to the oyster mushroom family, which is famous for its fantastic nutritional value. Since ancient times, it has been recognized as a medical mushroom in Asia, South America, and Africa. Studies in many countries have shown that the natural lovastatin in Pleurotus nebrodensis may reduce the accumulation of harmful substances in blood vessels e.g., cholesterol and triglyceride, and even enhance our glucose homeostasis system.
- A wonderful source of natural antioxidants. Its properties may provide a protective effect on vascular health and help balance glucose metabolism. Moreover, research have shown that Hericium erinaceus may lower LDL and triglyceride levels in the blood, which may prevent the formation of plaques in blood vessels.
